My New Favorite thing ever: Skullcrusher Mountain

Back at the beginning of December I stared this post at Mental_Floss in google reader for later, because I was at work and we can't watch videos. It's a song by Jonathan Coulton called Skullcrusher Mountain that they described as the "Sweetest Evil Genius Song Ever". I didn't get around to watching it untill this past weekend, which is too bad because it's the best song I've heard in a long time. It's a love song from an evil genius, and it's absolutely brilliant. The best part is definitely the half-pony half-monkey monster verse. Check it out:

I've had it stuck in my head pretty much constantly since the first time I heard it, which normally would annoy me, but I'm finding it puts me in a good mood.

My New Favorite Website: Om Nom Nom Nom

With all the time I spend online, how is it possible I did not know about this site? Om Nom Nom Nom is hilarious. I don't even know how to describe it, really. The best way to get an idea of what it's all about, head over to  OmNomNomNom.com/random and refresh a couple times. Go ahead now, I'll wait. [....] See? wasn't that awesome?! There's also a blog! Maybe I'm easily amused, but whatever, I love it.

My New Favorite Website: Google Suggest of the Day

Have you ever played the Google Suggest Game? It's where you type the beginning of a phrase into Google, and then laugh at the suggestions it comes up with. I guess it's not so much a game, but whatever, that's what I call it. Anyway, We play it at work sometimes, because Call Center life can get pretty boring. Turns out, there's a whole website devoted to the bizarre suggestions that Google comes  up with: Google Suggest of the Day. Although, it's not really 'of the day' anymore, as it hasn't been updated since September 22nd, and so I don't know if it's even being updated anymore. but I'm enjoying reading back through the archives, finding such gems as Pancakes are made out of Pancakes, Why does my bellybutton smell?, My bottom is a treasure house, Can monkeys and humans mate?, My hedgehog hates me, and my two personal favorites, Why is there a dead Pakistani on my couch (turns out, this is a quote from Lost, but it's still pretty hilarious) and Jesus likes Call Of Duty 4. Check it out, if you've got some time to waste and a bit of boredom to kill.

My new Favorite Website: Stranger the Eviction

Stranger the Eviction is the true story of a guy and his crazy landlord Gary. The writer, Gabe, was evicted after his landlord got drunk and was arrested one night, because he had been the one who opened the door for the police. What followed was Gabe's fight to get his security deposit back. Go back to the beginning, and read the whole thing. It's not very long (yet) and you will not be disappointed. It is seriously hilarious and Gary is seriously insane. I love it.

My New Favorite Website: Emails From Crazy People

There are a lot of people in the world, and the internet brings us all closer together. Unfortunately, a lot of those people are crazy, and the internet brings them closer to us as well. Emails From Crazy People is exactly what the title suggests. Readers submit funny/crazy/kind-of-scary emails and other internet correspondence, and they get posted on the site for all to see. It's hilarious because it's horrifying (and a bit, I suspect, because it happened to someone else). I 100% recommend it. My favorite so far has been "Clandestine Cake Thieves", although now I kind of wish I had some cake. Perhaps I could steal some. I'm also thinking of starting all of my correspondence with "Permanent salutations and warm cinnamon buns to you" from now on.

You Suck at Craigslist

You Suck at Craigslist is my new favorite site on the internet. I spent several days at work (in between doing actual work) reading this site, and laughing hysterically. Seriously, the girl sitting next to me turned to me at one point and asked, "What is wrong with you?". I gave her the web address so she could enjoy it too.

The site features unintentionally funny ads pulled from craigslist, you'll find things like poor spelling and typos (like this person selling "Two Aquarians"), insane personal ads ("Build a new, rational, primitive but free life w/ me in Alaskas wild") and the plain bizarre(religious pet puppet shows...). My absolute favorite is this one. Incredible. The fourth comment down is pretty awesome too.
