Week in Review, Week Ahead

Happy Sunday! Last week, I was dealing with an awful cold and getting back to work after my vacation. I'm still fighting this cold. It's really hanging on. What's really annoying is that The Fiance got it way after me and he's already almost over it. I tried to get lots of sleep, but that's easier said then done.

This week, I plan on getting some exercise in, despite the cold that just wont let go. And also despite the weather. Look at this:

Yeah, those are snowflakes in that picture. Gross. I'm also going to try to cut out sugar for the week. We'll see how that goes.

How was your week? Have you seen any snow where you are yet? What do you hope to accomplish this week?

Dreaming

It is cold out there today. Cold cold cold. The windchill puts us at -23°C (-9.4°F), and they're calling for it to drop even further as the day goes on. Brr. I am really not a fan of winter, and it gets worse the colder it is out. But, instead of dwelling, I'm going to close my eyes and dream of spring.

Weather Denial

When I'm looking at the weather, I usually check on the weather network. A lot of people say that it's not accurate, but then again, what weather report is? Anyway, some days (like this morning), I check the weather and I do not like what I see. 15 cm of snow?! No thank you. So I head over to the Environment Canada site, which a lot of times has a completely different report. Then I pick which ever one I like better, and believe that one. Weather Denial is how I get through winter.

Sadly, today this tactic didn't work. One site says 15cm, the other says 14cm. In the grand scheme of things, one centimeter is not going to make any difference whatsoever. Add blowing snow and wind gusting 30 to 50 km/h, and you've got a mess of a day.

A storm is coming, and that makes me unhappy.
