Things I Love Thursday
1. My Version of Exercise, 2. It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To, 3. yellow tulips on blue, 4. i'm forever blowing bubbles
Coffee, that one type of snow the coats the trees and makes everything look magical and wonderful in the morning, spaghetti and meat sauce with Parmesan cheese (even if it is just the fake stuff), Burn Notice, exercise, feeling accomplished, applying for jobs, sleeping, stretching, making lists, tulips, Re-watching Dark Angel (holy crap, I love that show), related: Michael Weatherly, chewing gum, pushing my body, writing, cookies, The Boyfriend, Jasmine & Memo, yellow, that my birthday is 18 days away!, formulating new more defined goals for my 26th year, yellow, sunshine, short months, pickles, sleeping in.
Also, of note: Two guys here at work were just talking about the Olympics and that took them to the topic of hockey. One of them says, "Canada vs US tonight. Girls hockey." which made me cringe a little (no one would ever says boys hockey when talking about the men's team) even though I know he didn't mean it as an insult or whatever. And the guy that he was talking to responded, "Women's hockey." I don't know, it made me smile.

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Happy Sunday! Last week, I stuck with my one thing rule (pick one thing that HAS to get done, and make sure to do it. Everything else is extra icing on the cake or whatever). It still went well, but not as well as the first week. I did get plenty done though, and I got all of the most important things done, and that's what's...well, important, right?
Something new I learned this week:
Clementines are a variety of tangerine, not their own type of citrus fruit.
Links! Get your Links here! Lots'a links this week. The Internet was bursting with Awesome! :
Got a story to tell? Are you a female body builder, in an arranged marriage or from a family with 8+ siblings? Sarah Von at yes and yes is looking for these and many others to interview for her series called True Story.
Creating Your Very Own Paradise: 5 Tips On How To Formulate Your Most Blissful Living Space Ever! ♥ Yeah. Not much to add, that pretty much says it all. Actually, Frock & Roll has lots of great content and articles. How to become More Adventurous has some great tips for getting yourself out of a rut and 6 Steps For Totally Nailing A Job Interview (Every. Single. Time!) is also very much with clicking through and reading.
Fire-breathing snowman. Hell. Yes.
Speaking of snow, here are some Awesome Snow Sculptures from Dallas, Texas Snowstorm. I think my favorite is the snow couch with the little snow pillows. Cute!
Anyone else doing Gala Darling's Self Love thing I mentioned last week? Even if you're not these 100 Ways You Can Start Loving Yourself Right Now might be helpful to you.
xkcd's Snow Tracking is so fantastic. I especially like the Calvin and Hobbes references.
50 Ways You Can Create a Better Day
I love Science. They've analyzed the DNA of Egyptian Mummies, including King Tut. They've learned he had a bone disorder and malaria. Oh, and his father and mother were brother and sister. This article about it is insanely interesting.
In Celebration of Lederhosen Top Cultured show cases a whole lot of pictures of people in lederhosen. What could be better then that?
Language of Origin, Please is a Mental_Floss Quiz where you match the word with it's language of origin. Pretty neat. I did terribly, and was surprised by several of them.
119 Ways to Store and Organize Your Cats Kitties in boxes, sinks, on shelves, etc!
Speaking of cats, here are a bunch of celebrities with cats. Zooey Deschanel, James Dean, Kurt Cobain, Drew Barrymore, Sean Connery and more!
This photo is adorable and has a very important message: You Rock!
10 Pathways to Inspired Writing
This week, I'm focusing on two happiness resolutions: Healthiness is Happiness and Look Good, Feel Good. That means more exercise, more healthy food, more moving and more effort. More more more!
What about you? How was your week? Got any big plans?

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Hello! A new week again! Last week, each day, I picked one thing that I HAD to get done, and made sure to at least that. It had a bit of a rocky start (Monday I didn't get anything done at all, Tuesday I didn't get my one thing done, but I did get a lot of other things done so it's half good?), but then I got into the swing of things and it really seems to be working for me. I ended up getting way more done then in normal weeks. I think it took the pressure off, or something. I don't know. There was one particular phone call that I had been putting off (and putting off. and putting off) that I FINALLY got around to making. And it was like a giant weight was lifted off my chest. That's why one of my happiness commandments is Do it Now, Don't Wait. I am a major procrastinator, and it leads to unnecessary stress and unhappiness! I also started working on Gala Darling's Radical Self Love Month Project thing. It fits very much into my happiness project and is kind of putting me back on track with it. I now have a Happiness and Self Love Notebook to fill with writing and photos and ideas. I found these questions really helped me. I sat down to answer one or two of them, and I ended up answering them all and writing six pages! I know the month is half way though, but it's never too late to join in on the lovefest.
Best new word I learned this week:
Defenestration -The act of throwing the act of throwing someone or something out of a window.
How about some links now, okay?:
I have often professed my love of foods that are shaped like other foods. These Big Mac(arons) are adorable. Macarons shaped like cheeseburgers! (I've never had a macaron, but I've been seeing them all over the internet for years now and they sure look tasty!)
Now for the opposite of tasty and adorable - 14 horribly unappetizing vintage food ideas. Mmm, Sack O' Sauce in a Can O' Meat!
Sarah at SillyGrrl talks about her Year-Long Happiness Goal. It's full of awesome glee inducing photos and is an inspirational read for anyone working on their own happiness project.
I kind of love this beer bottle chandelier. I mean, I don't really want it in my house (well, maybe in our basement room once it's finished, if the ceilings weren't so low...), but it's pretty awesome.
That's Not Art is really mean, but it makes me laugh. Like literally, out loud laughing. At work. Luckily my co-workers are used to these sort of outbursts from me, because I always find the best stuff on the internet. The point is, it's mean but funny. I'm not sure what that says about me, but whatever.
11 Little-Known Grammatical Errors That Will Shock and Horrify You. Great title, but a little inaccurate. I can't say I've ever been shocked by grammar. Although, I have been horrified by it. Anyway, you will learn something, and it's funny. Best line: "It's a rough day for a journalism major when he learns he was grammatically bested by Macy Gray." lol.
Bottoms up shot Glasses are totally genius. When they're right side up they say DRINK and when they're upside down they say DRUNK. Awesome!
Next time we have a snow storm, I'm totally making snow cream. For sure.
The Art of Doing over at yes and yes is very much worth the read.
"Does my butt look big in this?" - What to Wear in Portraits Great post for both photographer and photograph-ee.
This week, I'm going to keep up with my system of picking one thing that has to get done, and see if it keeps working quite as well for me.

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Hello, it's Monday! Last week I had no definite plans, so I guess I did what I had planned. The best way to feel accomplished is to plan to do nothing, and then actually do something. I took a week off from the 100 push-ups challenge because it was driving me crazy and if I tried to keep at it, I'm pretty sure I would have quit all together. Again. I didn't take the week off from exercise though! I dug out my free weights and did a quick routine (biceps curls, triceps extensions, that sort of thing) and did that on a couple of days. I've also been trying to find ways to exercise more without having to leave the house because it has been cold out there (it is winter, after all - but it's been very very very cold recently). I did way better exercising this week when I had no plan then I did last week when I was trying to focus all my energy on exercise. Hmm. I'm not really sure what to make of that.

Six Misleading food claims to watch out for when shopping for healthy foods. Food manufactures are sneaky! Don't get caught by their traps if you're trying to be healthier.
I totally want this truck. Bubbles!!
These little chocolate cups for floating in your hot chocolate are very, very adorable.
Forget About World Peace is awesome. (found via iCiNG) "Let’s get real here. Humanity will never co-operate. It’s far too big and varied for that; there is no way to even communicate amongst the whole populace, let alone get everyone on the same page at the same time. Just trying to get eight people on the same page to organize a camping trip is trouble enough for most." True, so true!
The 9 Most Terrifying Attempts to Improve Popular Foods features such awesomeness as Eggloafs, Canned Whole Chickens and Colored Ketchup. I freaking love Cracked.
Steampunk Segway The awesomeness and creativity of steampunk creations never ceases to amaze me.
Hello Chainsaw Hello Kitty Merchandise...is there anything they wont make? (ps: I totally want one, even though I'm not a big hello kitty fan AND I don't even know how to use a chainsaw...I'd probably cut off a limb)
This week, I'm trying something new. I'm picking one thing that I HAVE to get done each day, and doing that. Everything else is just icing on the cake or whatever.
What are you working on this week?

My New Favorite Website: Putting Weird Things In Coffee
I like sites that the URL is all the description you need. Putting Weird Things In Coffee does not disappoint in that regard. The About page says, "This is a blog about putting weird things in coffee. I drink coffee every day, but get bored with the same old cream and sugar. I figured I might as well document my experiments for the benefit of all humankind." Yep, that about sums it up. The writing is great; It made me laugh out loud several times. And the posts are full of photos, so you don't have to imagine what a cup of coffee full of smoked salmon cream cheese would look like. Also, this photo? I know it's just egg but it totally grossed me out. I mean it actually turned my stomach.
Anyway, what I meant to say is the site has a new and interesting concept, is fun to read, and full of pictures. What's not to love?
What are you still doing here? Go check it out.

Dreaming
It is cold out there today. Cold cold cold. The windchill puts us at -23°C (-9.4°F), and they're calling for it to drop even further as the day goes on. Brr. I am really not a fan of winter, and it gets worse the colder it is out. But, instead of dwelling, I'm going to close my eyes and dream of spring.

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Hello, it's Monday! Last week, I was supposed to have a major focus on exercise. I did...ok. The week started off really good, but every day I was a little less motivated and then I sort of fizzled out. Things have not been going to plan the last few weeks. I don't know, I've got to try something different, but I don't know what. I'll have to figure something out.
Some cool things I found online this week:
You Dropped Food on the Floor. Do You Eat It? (Flowchart) This is cute. And Helpful! The best part are the Is it Bacon? (Yes? eat it!) and the Did the cat lick it? (Yes? Is Your Cat Healthy? Yes. Eat it! (gross!)). via It's All About the Bacon
This wedding photo is totally cute and very fun.
6 Slang Terms With Surprisingly Badass Origins. I Love Cracked.
50 Ways To Put The Light Back In Your Heart
Lobster Knife Fight This is probably not as funny as I think it is, but I think it's hilarious. I hope you do too.
Have you ever seen a double banana? So weird, so wonderful.
This week, I have no plan. I'm going to make things up as I go, or something.
