Things I Love...Friday
I wrote this all up yesterday, and then I totally forgot to post it. Oops. So anyway, lets pretend it's Thursday. Or whatever.
Things I love:
Coffee, yogurt, goals, old fashioned sour cream glazed donuts, TV Shows: Castle, Dark Angel, Dollhouse & NCIS, Memo and Jasmine, The Boyfriend (especially when I forget my coffee at home, and he drops it off to me later on. Without being asked. or expected. Yay! Day Saved!), Not being Sick, new notebooks, new pens, thin burger buns, burgers! with bacon! and cheese!, writing reviews, almonds, reading in the sunshine, tulips, exercise, sleeping well, maps, videos of adorable animals, sandals and capris, Pizza with bacon, hot peppers, pineapple and feta cheese (seriously, you have no idea how awesome this was), the smell of lilacs, The Apple Blossom Festival is this weekend! - Looking forward to (maybe) going to the fireworks, the parade and...I don't know...whatever else happens, taking photos, cooking, My new bbq, hanging out with friends, chinchillas (you know those hamster ball things? did you know they make chinchilla sized one? They're totally hilarious), kittens, salad with creamy poppy seed dressing.

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Welcome to another Sunday! Last week, I had lots of big plans. Or, I guess they were little plans, but there were a lot of them. I got my photo editing done. And I got my exercise in. I made it out for one walk. Other then that...enh. Halfway there, I guess.
Here's some cool stuff I found online last week:

Did you know that you can not be buried in Venice? They use the nearby island of San Michele. Mental_Floss's Strange Geographies takes us on a tour.

Check out this beautiful night sky. Can you imagine standing there in person? I can, but I bet my imagination wouldn't even come close doing the real thing justice. Want another beautiful landscape shot? Ok, try this one. Stunning. Although, that one I'd rather just look at the picture. Snow and me...we're not really friends.
Zombie Disney - So great!

Beach Art - What is most incredible about this one, is the scale of it. Giant, beautiful works of art in the sand.
Speaking of beaches, here are 7 Beautifully Bizarre Beaches. Green sand, pink sand, black sand...this world we live in is incredible, weird, wonderful and gorgeous.
Seven Crimes to consider before Music Piracy. If you live in Illinois, anyway. But I'm sure it applies loosely to other places as well.
Top Ten Reasons You Should Quit Facebook - I don't actually use my facebook, and I probably wont go as far as deleting my account, but it's an interesting read, no matter how you feel about facebook.
10 Things I Wish Someone Told Me 10 Years Ago
This week, my shifts at work are back to normal, making it easier to get things done and plan ahead. Mostly though, I want to keep up with the exercise I've been doing so well with lately, and I want to take photos for my scavenger hunt, which I haven't been doing well with. And maybe bake something.

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Happy Sunday to all! Last week, I planned to get some exercise in. And I did, even though on Sunday I came down with a particularly awful cold and my shifts at work have been really all over the place. I've been using this plan, but I dropped most of the cardio component last week on account of the fact that I was stuffed up and having trouble breathing. You know how it is. I'm pretty proud of myself, not letting work and sickness get in my way like I normally would.

I've also got to get cached up on my photo editing, apply for some jobs, post here more regularly and some other things that haven't been getting done recently. My shifts are a little more regular this week, so I should be able to get a lot more done then in the last two. I hope so, anyway.

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Happy Sunday! And happy Mother's Day to any moms out there. Last week sure was eventful! Sunday my parents came over and we put a wall along the driveway and put in a small pond. Mega cool. There's a little more landscaping to do, but it looks really awesome. We're going to have goldfish in it eventually. Monday, we made a trip out to New Ross to buy a car. It's only two years newer then our old car (a '98), but it's in much, much better shape. AND it has heated seats. HEATED SEATS! Do you know how nice that will be in the winter? Very exciting. I tried them out on the way home. Friday night we finished the pond and fixed up the garden. The rest of the week was mostly uneventful.

10 Silly Things: My first attempt at origami
On of my 10 silly things is to learn two origami shapes. I thought I'd start with the obvious: The Paper Crane. Should I maybe have started with something easier? Probably. But if I'm only perfecting two, this would have to be one of them. Might as well start strong. I used these instructions.
I first needed some paper. Perfectly square paper. I was not going to waste any good paper on a first attempt, so I made a square out of a sales flyer.
Uh, yeah. I know. The edge I cut is not exactly straight. Even though I drew the line to cut on with a ruler. Awesome start.
...and then I got confused at step 11, got things all unfolded and refolded wrong and then ended up tearing my paper.
Paper crane, attempt #1: Fail.

Week in Review, Week Ahead
Welcome to a new week! Last week was mostly uneventful. I did my and the boyfriend's taxes and filed them, with two days to spare. I think that's a new record for me. I know last year I filed them right on April 30th. I'm so glad they're done. Tax forms make my brain feel mushy. The boyfriend fixed the aquarium, so I no longer have a bucket of fish in my living room. I tried to get some exercise in, and was modestly successful. I made my first attempt at origami and failed miserably (more on that later). The boyfriend and I decided to buy a car because ours is going to cost way, way too much to fix (we're picking it up tomorrow! So excited). Uh...yeah. I guess that's it. Needless to say, it's been a busy week.

Well...That was kind pathetic. Here, how about some pictures I took this past week instead:
This week, I'm going to get out walking again, since there is some sunshine (or at least days without rain) in the the forecast. After today, anyway. Today I'm doing some landscaping. Other then that...I don't know. Anything could happen.

Videos
It's Saturday! Happy weekend to all! To ease into this weekend morning, I'm offering to you some videos that I found interesting. One really has nothing to do with the next. Anyway, enjoy!
I never really thought about it, but that's probably totally true. That's probably why people sometimes don't like movies that were made from books.
It was only a small pitcher, but still - impressive.
Oh my god, he's Happy Gilmore, but without the swearing and punching and hockey. And Canadian. Very cool.
I liked this. That's all I have to say on that matter.
Kinda creepy. That voice. Kinda Awesome too though.
Great idea, as long as the egg is for you. Other people may be appreciate you blowing on their food. Just saying.
Ok, that's just crazy. Crazy AWESOME!
"I'm an old man, so you can trust what I say." Too funny. I love this.
And finally, some kittens playing with an easter egg. Can't top that. I guess we're done.
Enjoy your Saturday!
